What is a CHM File?

CHM stands for Compiled Help Modules and is a Microsoft Compiled HTML format. The CHM format is used in Microsoft HTML Help, the standard help system for the Windows platform. A CHM file is basically a collection of HTML documents and other data such as images and JavaScript compressed into a single file.

How do I open CHM files?

You can open CHM files via Mozilla Firefox by using the CHM Reader addon which helps you open CHM files within Firefox itself.
