How to check if a website is down?

Sometimes you just don’t seem to be able to open a site and end up wondering whether something is wrong with your ISP or computer. It has happened with me so many times that I had to find a way out, rather than bugging my friends with repeated requests like – ‘Hey, is this site opening on your end?’

It was then that I discovered a remote pinging tool which will tell you if something is wrong with a website(or something is wrong with you!). Down for everyone or just me? (and we forgive them for the domain name!) is just the answer to your prayers.

Down for everyone or just me?

Down for everyone or just me? is a remote pinging tool with a really minimal interface(so minimal that you start wondering whether there is an interface at all).

All you need to do is to enter the name of the website you want to check and click on or just me?(yeah, they don’t have a go button). In case the site is up then a terse message saying ‘Its just you.’ is put up alongside an option to check another site.

Check out Down for everyone or just me? and do leave your comments!
