Most of us refer to Wikipedia articles to get to know about various topics as they are not only free but easily accessible too. Many a time many students find themselves without Internet access and would like to access Wikipedia to complete their projects or assignments. Without Internet access, they miss out on such a huge wealth of knowledge that is freely available!

To save us from this trouble, The Wikimedia Foundation has released an offline Wikipedia for Schools which consists of articles on over 5500 topics and can be copied on a DVD for offline usage.

Please note that the ‘Wikipedia for Schools’ version is recommended for students of age 8 to18 years as it consists of topics and articles relevant to their education only.

Wikipedia for Schools is approximately 3GB in size and can be downloaded via Torrents.
