How Domain Lookup Addon works?
Method 1: Select the text you want to check and press the Domain Lookup Shortcut(the default shortcut is CTRL+SHIFT+D). The domain availability check comes up in a new tab on the specified registrar
Method 2: Select the text you want to check and right click for the right-click context menu. Navigate to the ‘domain lookup for’ option and click on it. The domain availability check comes up in a new tab on the specified registrar
How to configure Domain Lookup Addon?
To configure Domain Lookup Addon, navigate to Tools>Domain Lookup Options..
Here you can:
- Change the default registrar: There is a huge list to choose from and you can also suggest your favourite registrar in case it is missing from the list
- Select multiple TLDs(.com, .org, .co.uk etc)
- Change or Disable the Shortcut key
- Update the list automatically
- Strip hyphens in domain
Spaces are automatically removed from the query: “cool beaches” would be stripped to “coolbeaches” since domain names cannot contain spaces.
