Here’s a service that notifies you on Twitter if your website is down or not. This might sound strange as there have been a lot of complaints about Twitter having a lot of downtime.

Ding It’s Up is one of the simplest online services we’ve come across in a while. Ding It’s Up alerts you via Twitter, SMS or email when a website goes down or when it comes back up.
How do I use Ding It’s Up?
- Specify how you’d like to be notified. They provide three options – Email, Text, or Twitter.
- Enter the URL of the website whose downtime’s you would like to monitor.
- Enter your Twitter ID, Email ID or mobile phone number as required.
Once you submit these information, this online service will send you a message when the website you want to monitor goes offline or comes back online.
