If you have a laptop or shuffle between several internet connections, which in turn result in multiple IP addresses and connection settings, you can understand the pain in changing the Windows network settings over and over again. I personally face a lot of trouble shifting from my DSL settings to an IP connection or a Wifi connection whenever I venture outside.
It would come in handy if there was such a tool which made shuffling between various connection settings easy. To our relief, NetSetMan is here!
NetSetMan:
With a name resembling a Super Hero, NetSetMan is actually a network settings manager which can easily switch between 6 different network profiles including the following network parameters:
- IP Address
- Subnet Mask
- Default Gateway
- DNS Server
- WINS Server
- Computer Name
- Workgroup
- DNS Domain
- Default Printer
- Network Drives
- SMTP Server
- Hosts File Entries
- Scripts (Javascripts etc.)

Why is it useful?
NetSetMan is useful because it saves a precious lot of time wasted away in changing network settings again and again. It makes managing settings a 2-click activity which lets you connect in a jiffy. NetSetMan settles in your System Tray and displays and lets you change your settings from there. It also supports command line activation.
All settings and changes are saved automatically in a separate file (settings.ini) so a backup, transfer or upgrade to another version is absolutely no problem. They also offer a Pro version for commercial use, with domain and proxy settings and unlimited profiles.
All in all, NetSetMan is a pretty handy tool which makes life a tab bit easier.
