Open New Tabs Next To Active Tab In Firefox With Tab Control

Mozilla’s widely popular open source browser, Firefox is the favorite of many because of the various customization options apart from a variety of  free addons that are available for the general public. One issue with Firefox is that when the user opens a new tab, it opens next to the last tab on the extreme right. Would it not be nice if the new tab opened next to the currently active tab? Here’s a plugin which is relatively unknown but does just that.

Tab Control Addon for Firefox is a lightweight extension which opens new tabs next to the currently active tab apart from a variety of other options.

Features of Tab Control Firefox Addon:

  • Position new tabs to the right of the current tab
  • Switch to the left tab when closing the current tab
  • Set some or all javascript window.opened windows to redirect into tabs
  • Specify the min and max width for tabs
