How to Recover Saved Passwords in Google Chrome

Saved Passwords feature in Google Chrome is a respite for all those people out there(including me) who keep forgetting their passwords and lose their accounts. It also saves some precious time wasted away in mindless typing again and again.

However when you are working on some other computer, one which is not aware of your saved password, then you have to exert your grey cells and remember it. In case you have forgotten what your saved password was, never fear, Google Chrome is here!

Chrome, like all nice browsers, saves your passwords for future reference. Here is how to access those saved passwords:

How to access saved passwords in Chrome?

  • Open Google Chrome and click on the Customize and Control Chrome Icon on right most corner of the address bar(the one with the spanner). In the menu that opens, click on Options

  • In the Chrome options, click on the Minor Tweaks tab and click on the Saved Passwords tab

  • The Passwords window opens which shows a list of websites and your usernames on those websites

  • Navigate to the username for which you want to discover the saved password and select it
  • Click on the Show Password tab and lo! Your password is revealed

  • Here you can also remove some or all passwords

Happy browsing!
