If you are a Firefox maniac and have 50+(or often 200+) tabs open in your Firefox window you always run the risk of losing a whole lot of information if you close your window accidentally or otherwise. Not only this, you might want to save a site for checking it out later. Yeah, we know you can always bookmark it – but Taboo takes bookmarking to another level. Read on.
Why is Taboo useful?
Taboo is extremely useful because:
- Taboo lets you save a tab for use at a later time.
- When you “taboo” a tab, a screenshot including the current position on the page and information you’ve typed into form elements is saved.
- When you reload that “tabooed” tab you will be returned to the page, at the proper location, with the back button history intact and the form fields filled in!(this is what we meant when we said it takes bookmarking to the next level)
- And yes, it does have a Save all tabs option!
- Taboo adds itself to the Navigation Toolbar and is real easy to use
- You can switch the Tabooed tab views to Grid, Calendar(yeah, daily taboos) and Detailed view with tool-tip type view.
- There is also a trashcan(recycle bin for deleted Taboos)
- You can also export you Taboos for backup
- And it is opensource – so you can play with it if you want!

Taboo is absolutely essential for the ultra-geek Firefox user and can really save a lot of time and effort. Install it now and enjoy the comforting feeling!
