Delete all Direct Messages from your Twitter account

From the maker of TweetStats and FirstFollow, here comes another twitter tool to delete multiple direct messages from your twitter account. If you have been receiving lots of direct messages and your inbox is in a mess, you definitely need this bookmarklet. Unfortunately since Twitter doesn’t support any way to delete multiple direct messages, deleting them individually can be a real pain.

DM Whacker Bookmarklet

Just when you had lost all hope of removing the clutter in your direct messages inbox, comes along DM Whacker. All you need to do is to drag the bookmarklet from its source page to the bookmarklet toolbar and click on it after logging into the Twitter account.

Then you get the option to delete all DMs or DMs from select usernames, delete DMs from Inbox as well as Sent items. However, deleting a DM from your sent folder will also delete the same from the recipient’s Inbox folder.

A little piece of warning(that comes from Damon himself) is that this tool is still beta and ‘might do bad things’. But this little piece of software is really too useful to worry about the ‘bad things’.
