Download Facebook Photo Albums using FacePAD

I share a lot of photos on my Facebook profile so that my friends and family can view and download them. But being a photography freak that I am, often these albums contain a huge number of photos and it becomes pretty irritating for my friends to download them one by one.

So we came across a Firefox addon which downloads entire Facebook albums in a jiffy. FacePAD or the Facebook Photo Album Downloader allows users to download your friend’s Facebook albums in one click.

How to use FacePAD?

  • Install the FacePAD addon from Firefox addon website
  • Restart Firefox to enable FacePAD
  • Navigate to the photo album you want to download
  • Right click on the album – You’ll see the ‘Download Album with FacePAD’ option in the context menu – click it
  • A Javascript window pops up – Click on ‘Ok’
  • A ‘Save’ dialogue will appear asking you to select the directory to store the pictures – however when we used it this dialogue appeared for every photo in the album and as you clicked ‘Save’ the download was added to the Firefox Downloads

FacePAD is a pretty useful addon and you must add it to your Firefox addons kitty.

Download FacePAD here.

Note: If there are more than one page of photos, then more than one JavaScript pop-up will appear (one for each page, where 1 page = 20 photos)

oh my.  I tried to download an album that had 64 pictures…and I had to name and save all 64 pictures manually…  Way too ridiculous.  Thanks for trying…might want to work on that in the next release.
