JavaScript, once the buzz on the internet, was one of the leading technologies which made the web interactive. JavaScripts let designers add load of functionality and appeal to their websites making it more and more interactive.

But often JavaScript is used to do things we hate – like adding annoying pop-ups to a website. So you might want to disable or enable JavaScripts in order to enrich your web experience. Here is the way to enable JavaScript in popular browsers:

Simple steps to enable/disable JavaScripts in browsers:

1. Mozilla Firefox:

One of the most famous browsers on the internet makes things really easy for you. Try this:

Go to the Tools menu and select Options

In the Options menu, click on the Content Tab

You’ll see the checkbox to Enable JavaScript. Click and select OK to apply settings.

You can also click on the Advanced button for Advanced JavaScript Settings

2. Internet Explorer 6:

In Internet Explorer things aren’t that easy. But they aren’t difficult too. All you need to do is:

Go the the Tools menu and select Internet Options

Click on the Security Tab and then click on the Internet Icon(the globe)

Below it you’ll find the Custom Level Button. Click on it

In the Security Settings Menu that opens, scroll down to Scripting heading

Tools menu and select Options

Select Enable or Disable in Active Scripting to turn JavaScripts on or off. If you select prompt, the browser will ask you everytime a website tries to run a JavaScript

You also get a lot of options under the Scripting heading

Click OK and then OK again to finish the setting

3. Safari:

Safari believes in keeping things simple. Follow these steps:

Go to Edit Menu and choose Preferences

Click on the Security Tab

Check or uncheck the Enable JavaScript checkbox to turn it on or off.

Click OK to finish

4. Opera:

Another browser sans the hassles. Just follow these steps:

Click on the Tools menu and select Preferences

Click on the Advanced Tab and click on Content in the Left sidebar

Check or uncheck the Enable JavaScript checkbox to turn it on or off

You also get JavaScript options here

In the end, click OK to apply

5. Google Chrome:

Now comes the tricky part. Google Chrome doesn’t have any direct method to disable JavaScripts but we did find a way out on Google Chrome’s Help Forums. Here is how to do it:

This will require you to modify your shortcut to chrome

Right click the shortcut icon to Chrome and select Properties

In the Target: box, scroll all the way over to the right and add -disable-javascript

For example: C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe” -disable-javascript

via. Google Chrome Help

That’s how simple it is. Try these steps out for yourself and let JavaScripts serve you better.

Ultimate(previously called Ultimate Frisbee) is a limited or non-contact team sport, played with a Frisbee(someday we’ll tell you what a Frisbee is, in case you don’t know it).

It is a mix of basketball, soccer, American football and netball and is played with a 175 mm flying disc. The objective of the game is to score points by receiving a teammate’s pass in the opponent’s end zone. The winner of a match is the team which achieves a predetermined number of points first, thus there is not time limitation or running down the clock.

How to play Ultimate?

Here is a video explaining the basics. Ultimate is the best game for beginner’s full of energy, speed, team work and enthusiasm. Its variations include intense, indoor and beach and is probably the best way to stay fit!

Go for it!
